Update (It is!): Is Alaska Airlines Becoming a Bilt Transfer Partner?

Credit Cards Miles Points

Update: Called it. It’s now live.

This will make a great replacement for Oneworld redemptions once American Airlines ends its relationship with Bilt in June.

File this under “probably.” Someone recently posted to the Bilt Rewards Reddit page that they saw that Alaska Airlines was a transfer partner for Bilt Rewards.

The aforementioned post on Reddit

It’s not showing on my Bilt app, so they must be in the process of productionizing it (if this is accurate) and accidentally put it into customer-facing production. Notably, the 500 point limit on linking loyalty programs is new (to my knowledge), so that might be another hint that this is accurate.

Is Bilt Worth It?

People who read in my sporadic attempts at writing for a blog over the past few years know that I am a huge fan of Bilt. If Alaska really does become a Bilt transfer partner, this would make Bilt even more valuable, as they would be the sole transfer partner of Alaska Airlines.

I personally have yet to dig into the Alaska ecosystem myself, but, after a recent Frequent Traveler University talk in DC, I am going to begin engaging with it personally, particularly for it’s excellent domestic rates on American Airlines (even better than American itself for the short-haul I need to visit family). This is really the icing on the cake to make this happen.

Conclusion

It appears that Bilt might be gearing up to add Alaska Airlines as a transfer partner within the Bilt ecosystem. I really hope that this is the case, as I definitely have a use for some Alaska miles!

What do you think about this possibility? Would you transfer Bilt rewards to Alaska?

*Note: I humbly ask that if you apply for the Bilt card, please use my link. I may get bonus points via my refer-a-friend link. However, note that I will always put the link that gets you the largest sign-up bonus, even if I don’t get anything, because I want you to be able to travel well. Find a link to my referral to the card here.
