My wife and I love taking weekend trips via Amtrak. Given that we live in the DC area, it’s sometimes fun to hop on the train and ride somewhere along the Northeast Corridor. We’ve even taken the first train out and the last train back to New York City on a Saturday.
I recently applied for and received the Amtrak Guest Rewards Preferred credit card (not a referral link), which has an annual fee of $99. I got it for the limited-time sign-up bonus of 40,000 Amtrak points after $2,000 in spend (worth over $900 towards train fare) and the annual companion certificate, which I’ll definitely get more than $99 of value out of.
I’ve had a lot of credit cards in my life. However, I received this card today, and I must say: Isn’t this a cool looking card?
