Wow, talk about a long time since I’ve posted. Just checked the website, and I haven’t posted since June 26th. It’s been too long…and in the spirit of this website, I’m actually typing this up from an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin to Dulles International before I take the new Silver Line back home, using a business class wifi code that didn’t work when I was flying over to Europe.
It’s been a long, but fantastic, few months in the world of travel. I had the opportunity to travel to Europe 4 times between August 1st and now, trying lots of new airline products in both economy and business class, staying in lots of new hotels ranging from fine to fantastic, and learned some lessons about alliance/joint venture flying that will be easier to do (never fly Iberia and try to credit to American…also, don’t fly Iberia in economy, because there is no air conditioning!).
I also was able to visit a lot of places for both pleasure and work, find some new ways of using points and miles (trains and buses in Europe is great for Capital One miles), and hit some new elite milestones.
When I started this site, I was hoping to be blogging 2 days a week. I started off strong, and that obviously didn’t stay up. However, I am committing to keep updating the website as I have time. I don’t think this will ever become a huge moneymaker like the huge blogs out there, but I think I offer a unique perspective as I write. I’m not a great writer, but I enjoy it. So here’s to these next posts!
