There are many times when something doesn’t always go as expected when traveling. Maybe it’s a destination where you had grand expectations, and it turned out to be a dud. Perhaps you wanted to try a new hotel, and it wasn’t what you expected. Maybe you were wanting to try a new airline, and there was a last minute aircraft swap.
For today’s Saturday travel tip, I like to use this mantra: give it another shot.
It’s often the case that, when traveling to a new country with a new culture, we just don’t know what to expect. We can do all the research in the world, but there’s nothing like just being there to experience and learn first hand.
Thus, for today’s short and sweet Saturday travel tip, I’ll just say this: Give it another shot. Go to that place again. Try that hotel again, knowing what to expect. The flight attendant might have just been having an off day, so try that airline again.
I’m not saying that if it was truly horrific, try it again, but if it was generally just “okay,” it might be worth trying whatever you were doing again.
I know for me, I’ve got some places I’d like to try again, and some airlines I’d like to give another shot. Hopefully, with what you know now, you’ll have a much better experience. Who knows? You might make a new memory that will be a part of you for the rest of your life.
